QNAP rozšiřuje nabídku oblíbených NAS serverů o čtyř-diskový model TS-410 s atraktivní cenou a skvělými funkcemi známými z vyšších řad. QNAP TS-410 najde své uplatnění zejména v domácím a kancelářském prostředí.
TS-410 je navržen pro čtyři SATA disky (hot swappable) s maximální kapacitou serveru až 8 TB a podporující 3,5" i 2,5" pevné disky, což dává uživatelům dostatečnou flexibilitu při instalaci. Díky použitému procesoru Marvell 800 MHz a 256MB DDRII paměti poskytuje server dostatečný a trvalý výkon 24 x 7 hodin v týdnu s nízkou energetickou náročností. TS-410 lze nakonfigurovat pro Raidové pole 0/1/5/6/5+spare/ JBOD a spolu s funkcemi jako je iSCSI Target servis, online RAID capacity expansion a online RAID level migration nabízí dostatek zálohovací kapacity, kterou lze v průběhu času zvyšovat bez nutnosti vypínat server. Pro připojení do lokální sítě nabízí server Gigabitový LAN port. Pro další rozšiřování kapacity serveru nechybí 4 x USB porty a 2 x e-SATA porty.
TS-410 je chytré řešení zejména pro instalaci v domácím nebo kancelářském prostředí. Je plně kompatibilní se sítěmi v prostředí Windows, Macintosh, Linux i UNIX. TS-410 je předurčen jako síťové úložiště multimediálních dat (filmy, fotky a hudba), z kterého lze po síti ( uPnP, Samba, NFS) přehrávat tato data např. pomocí oblíbených síťových přehrávačů na kvalitní televizi s vysokým rozlišením. Díky zabudovanému media severu na bázi UPnP/ DLNA (TwonkyMedia) je plně kompatibilní s herními konsolami jako Sony® PS3 a Microsoft® Xbox 360. A navíc funkce Download Station dovoluje uživatelům stahovat data (Bittorent, HTTP, FTP) vysokou rychlostí z internetu bez použití PC.
Server nabízí celou řadu dalších skvělých funkcí jako jsou např. File server, FTP server, DDNS podpora, Webový server s instalovaným phpMyAdmin i MySQL, tiskový server. V neposlední řadě lze tento model využít jako kamerový monitorovací server s podporou až dvou IP kamer v lokální počítačové síti.
I tato novinka přichází s unikátním softwarem, jehož verze 3.1 je zabudována do serveru jako firmware a přichází s řadou nových funkcí včetně podpory virtuálních disků (až 8 virtuálních disků přes SCSI rozhraní), exkluzivního QNAP RAID Recovery pro obnovu zničeného nebo neaktivního radiového pole a v neposlední řadě také s podporou EXT4 partition pro velmi velké objemy dat. Tento nový firmware 3.1 byl vyvinut s kompletně novým uživatelským rozhraním na bázi AJAXu, které dovoluje snadnější konfiguraci a instalaci těchto zařízení přes webové rozhraní i méně technicky zdatným uživatelům. Koncem říjny by měla být k dispozici i verze firmwaru lokalizovaná do češtiny.
